In early 2001 the rapid development of Wakefield Plantation, with its ideal location for living and working, was the fastest selling community in the Research Triangle three years running. The development of the area has a well integrated mix of residential, retail, and educational facilities but lacked sufficient medical office space. This offered a rare opportunity to provide first class amenities to service the entire family to affluent patients and client base. The Health Park is far removed from typical city and suburban congestion, but still just four miles from the area’s newest interstate - The 540 Outer Loop – a fast and direct route to Research Triangle Park, the Raleigh-Durham International Airport and downtown.

A fifteen acre site was purchased and developed adjacent to land owned by a large regional hospital to accommodate the need for medical office space. One medical office building of approximately 30,000 square feet has been built to date with almost 12-acres of developable land remaining.
